I agree to move on if the company doesn't do what it's supposed to do. But most of it is very minor and can be taken care of by the driver and he's willing to get summonses and CSA points. The op just baffles the hell out of me

I'm am just as stunned by the OP. To tank your career over some simple maintenance issues is just ridiculous. Who knows if these issues slowly became more and more. Was the truck issued in that condition? Did it slowly get like this because boss man found a push over, or found a driver not doing his due diligence?

or is this all a trolls doing???

My truck was rendered beyond driveable and had to be fixed. Turns out they finally got all my other issues fixed after my clutch had to be replaced.

Yeah, I am more or less a "yes man" pushover that will run as along as he gets a paycheck. But at some point, I have to throw in the towel when it comes to safety. I get paid by the hour... not a mile. The reason why they will not let me turn my truck in is because every hour I sit waiting to get fixed is hours I am not moving their freight.

While I was snoozing away as they where fixing my 1997 Freightshaker, they found other issues that needed to be fixed. The laundry list is way to long to mention but it detailed some other serious internal problems.

As for troll comments... I get those from time to time with any of my threads. But that is just something I deal with after being here for three years.

    Thanks.

are any of these items listed in the op required to be checked during a pretrip inspection? Required to be noted on a post trip inspection report?

DId you seriously think that signing up to be a driver just meant you were going to sit in a seat and hold a steering wheel? I'm coming back into the industry and already fear for my life lol! I guess you can't fix stupid though!

I love it! I pinched an air hose to my rear belly dump trailer in the gate. Cut a hole in it, but it didn't start really losing air until I hit a huge pot hole in the middle of an intersection. I guess the shock/shift tugged the hole bigger?

I thought I would have to sit blocking traffic until a mechanic from our shop arrived. The mechanics liked to get "lost" for hours on their way to service calls. It got them out of working.

A veteran trucker saw my dilemma, stopped, and showed me the vise grips to pinch off air lines trick. Bless his heart! I've used that trick a few times since!

I drove to the shop, the mechanic had me fixed and rolling within a half hour! Beats the heck out of sitting around broken and not making money!
