Cdl gets pulled

also part of the new thing have to use a doc on their list to do your physical now....cant use ur reg doc unless he or she is on the list

 

My med card expires next month so I made a doctors appt and had recertifcation physical this morning.I passed and good for 2 yrs.I was concerned about my blood pressure but it was 116 over 74.So tomorrow i'll take my card to the DMV.

 

This is true in NV, if your med card expires? They will temp. Suspend your CDL until you get it renewed, was told by CDL office they will not send a reminder

 

Lately I've been told, must have the long form in truck with you, not sure if this is true, but? I don't want to find out the hard way, so? I keep mine in the truck as well

thats what my BP used to be before all these stupid meds.

 

Come midnite I laid off the smokes and diet coke and drink a lot of water.I relaxed while he was taking my bp.I was pleasantly surprised at the reading.But im glad its done.Now I suppose ill need to get anew license for the second time in a week,lol.I lost my CDL or rather misplaced it,I never lose anything,lol.So I went to DMV got a replacement.

 

In all states if your medical card expires your license will be down graded. From that point you have 1 year to provide a valid medical card and if you don't you have to get your learners permit again and take the state drivers test also. Once you get your new medical just go to your DMV and provide a copy and your CDL A will be reinstated.

BUT........

Once you give your state a copy of your new medical it will be compared to the doctors. After your physical the doctor has to go on a web site and register your medical.

It won't be long before anyone has to carry a medical card. It will all be online for anyone to check. I can't remember the figures but it was staggering how many forged medical cards are out there and this is why they are doing it. When a doctor does a CDL medical it gets recorded. Same as cut from a plastic package and everything else. It's just for statistics. When they compared the number of CDL physicals with the number of CDL drivers they realized how many were forged.

I use to park my truck at a construction company and was friendly with everyone. There was 8 guys who had a CDL. 7 of them could either not pass the physical or afford it so they forged their medical cards. The chrome shop in NH called Berubies use to sell the NH medical form for $5.00 then you could just fill it out.

 

Med card is now registered with the DMV.Would have rather stayed home in bed and watch tv but figure might as well get it over with.
