Just because you have taken the time off does not mean you have reset, it is optional. Your company may not understand the law in question, or may be it is up to you to select HOS reset, in either case something from September has not bearing on anything. Unless you have been reseting all along, then possibly it could be traced back that far.

It would have to be revalued one week at a time. There again if it has been longer than `168 hours your free to reset when you qualify for it.

You can drive everyday, does not change the 168 hour clock, It is 168 hour from the start of your reset, period. After that you can reset when ever you qualify, if you want it to start on Friday, wait till you get off work on Friday. The going forward next week it will be available 168 hours later, or next Friday same time.

Hes right, the first Friday after 168 hours will work

As of today's signing of the spending bill, the 1am to 5am consecutive nights and the 168 hour reset rule are suspended pending further study with no firm date to reintroduce those restrictions. You can take a 34 hour reset starting any day at any time then drive for a day and do it all again if you want.
