That half hour break throws me because it makes the difference between making that last drop on day one vs day two-and sittinng in the am empty at a shipper...or conversely stopping on my way home 15 minutes from home to take a half hr break. Lame

I had no problem stopping and taking my lunch break anyway after ~5 hours or 300 miles or so on duty before they made it a law. I just don't like how I'm suddenly doing something wrong if I happen to not do it one day for some reason or another if the situation calls for it. One more piece of BS to worry about.
