then what about all those old trucks with CA plates that run the I5, I10, I15 I don't think they all installed DPF filters.

they may only be running the 1000 miles that cali allows. or 5000 miles throughout the country.

yes, there's a lot of them floating around, but we don't know what those trucks are doing.

But if you put any aftermarket parts on them, THEY have to be CARB compliant.

i wouldn't even worry about it. i know a 02 kw that goes there regularly.

company wants to get rid of it, but for some reason, she refuses to drive one of the new FL's.

Crazy how a bunch of spineless shippers are wasting time and money "policing" for CARB.

Based on what I've seen first hand over the past two years, 1)there are about a quarter of the trucks running that can not possibly not be CARB compliant and 2)NOBODY has checked my truck or reefer for compliance - they are both kosher but other than the "Your truck must be CARB compliant" deals on the broker sheets I haven't been asked for anything 3) I haven't seen ANY blue SMART Cars or any other vehicle from CARB enforcing anything anywhere in the state.

When I had my other truck, he was stopped on 15 northbound leaving LA and told me they put a camera down the exhaust to make sure the DPF filter was there but that was 4 years ago
