California law overturned for violating interstate commerce

    Too bad it had to do with a law banning the sale of fatty duck livers:

    "Judge Stephen Wilson ruled that the law violated federal regulations, including laws governing interstate commerce as well as the Poultry Products Inspections Act, which regulates the sale and distribution of foie gras and other poultry products. In effect, the judge said that, in this case, the state law does not trump federal law."

    going off topic. radio was saying cali is asking fmcsa for 30 minute break exemption for the bee haulers. because the bees need the airflow. and can't afford to stay at a stand still for 30 minutes.

    ok.

    but what about the 10 hour sleeper. for crying out loud.

    I would have thought that also. The bee loads I have hauled in the past stated that as long as the sun was shining, keep em moving. Has to deal with airflow and heat buildup in the hives. If needed to stop for fuel that was fine, but try not to stop any longer than necessary.
