I think you fail to grasp a basic concept here. Maybe TWO basic concepts.

    1) Most donuts are NOT consumed while driving down the street/road/highway. They are consumed either at a donut shop counter, or while cops are out hiding from the general public, but most of all hiding from their supervisor!:biggrin_2559:

    2) Ever hear of the "law enforcement exemption?":biggrin_25523:

Yet I still see LEO's driving while typing on their dispatch computers at 70 mph. No danger there.

You mean to tell me? They haven't hung this dangerous, violent driver yet! WOW what's this country going to, when they allow these kind of maniacs to roam free :biggrin_25523:

Cop followed him for 2 miles and didn't ticket him for speed/lane violation?
    just eating while driving?

    This is BS..
anyone who lives near ATL or drives thru it can see violators wiz by at constant rates..
    Something odd about this story.

OPUS 7, Big Don and EZX1100 Thank this.

I do believe there's a bit more to it than is being reported. Perhaps this cop and "dangerous violator" have a "history."

Perhaps he did some little thing to call attention to himself, such as laying on his horn to get the cop's attention, and then flipping him off. Perhaps the cop didn't like the guy's haircut...

Whatever happened, just on the face of it, it seems pretty lame. But all we are getting is what the media is putting out. And they have their own agenda.

Thats how you keep from geting tickets, when the red light goes on start chucking donuts out the window. When he stop to pick them up just drive away.

If it doesn't get all over the place it doesn't belong in your face.

I think it was last year a woman in California was ticketed for wearing google glasses. She beat the ticket by proving they were turned off at the time. I believe this guy will beat his ticket too. Can you imagine the precedent if they can ticket for eating, what about sipping a drink or smoking a cigarette reaching for that cell phone or entering data into the GPS?

You know, if he'd of looked down because he dropped a piece of burger in his lap and ran over a little kid in a cross walk, you'd all be calling for him to be hung in public to make an example of him.........
