Hi all. I've had my CDL from Utah for nearly 3 years (almost time to renew in fact, which is why I'm researching this now) I have been considering moving to Washington state and am aware that they are not part of the interstate compact agreement. In fact I had recieved three speeding tickets (non-cdl) since getting my CDL. After the last one (in ND) Utah sent me a nasty letter stating that if I recieved any more, they would suspend my CDL for six months. (Eek!)
You can imagine my panic when I missed the speed limit sign during my trip to Wa. this summer and the trooper gave me a ticket. Then another a couple weeks later. Well, Utah never found out and my CDL is still valid. This got me to thinking, if I transfer my CDL to Washington state, will I have a clean record, or will they (at the time of transfer) collect ticket info from other states, thereby making my record even worse?
Another, kind of related question is this; As stated above, I recieved 2 tickets, I paid the first off already and have extended my time to pay the other. While researching whether it would be benificial to transfer, I obtained a copy of my Wa. MVR. It only has the second (unpaid) ticket. Since I don't have a Wa license, I assume they do not keep a.record.after it is taken care of. This leads me to wonder, if I pay off the ticket before transferring my license, will I have a spotless Wa. record?
I hope someone can help shed some light on these questions. I am fairly decided that I have found a nice little loop-hole in clearing up my record so that I can get a good driving job again. If somebody knows something I don't, I hope to hear from you soon. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Anyone... anyone...
I Thought about calling and asking them but I'd hate to point out a gap that needs closing in thier policies and spoil it for everybody. Lol.

Not gonna work, This was a move from years ago and some drivers had multiple state CDLs..your record WILL follow you..slow down and obey the laws..

    Thanks dogpile.
A: I don't intend to have more than one license.
    B: I have slowed down
and C: The tickets I recieved in Washington this last summer did NOT follow me home to Utah, they are not on my 10 year abstract, nor has my Utah CDL been suspended, as the DLD here promised to do if I recieved any other moving violations. The last one they know of was cited in North Dakota. Apperantly there are exceptions to the rule. Which is what I'm asking about specifically. I'm afraid I must consider this query to be still unresolved.
    Still, I appreciate your input.

    Anyone else?
