Funny farm:
I was thinking about this after reading again (and a good nap .
My local drivers do not take a lunch either. They eat on the road etc.
Now if it is causing OT (If paid hourly) that could be why they are requesting that 30 minute break and using the 8:00 to 5:00 clock in "office" person rules. No one "has" to take a 30 minute break (not even office, warehouse etc) however it does have to be offered and if they work through their lunch they should be paid (salary is different).
I KNOW for a fact their is NO DOT regulation saying you must take a break.
Log book question - lunch or no lunch?
