i have seen trucks with colored lights on the back of there sleeper and i was curious if it is legal or if drivers just turn them off if they see dot. i know they can be red but i want to put green and ive had some people tell me as long as im not bobtail im ok but i dont know if those people are the most reliable.

just for cosmetics i think the glow on the bulkhead of the trailer looks cool ive seen trucks with blue and red but i dont know if the blue was legal or if he just off whenevr he saw dot or went in scales

Blue isn't legal, I co-drove a Pete that had Purple lights on it, the lead driver got called into the scale for having them on.
Read the laws, most states allow white, amber, orange to the front, Red and amber to the rear.BamBam68 Thanks this. -
I had 8 red lights on the back of my sleeper, turned them on when ever I had lights on, never been a issue

ok thank you i knew red was legal but i wasnt sure about other colors just because they arent on the rear when you have a trailer so i appreciate the help
