for the first year of service from date of purchase? I am pretty sure that you don't need a DOT inspection on new equipment for the first year, but can not find the regs, anyone have them?
Thanks Stan

He said no issues and said that I didn't need an insp. for the first year?
I didn't think much about it till today as I was getting two new trailers ready to go and noticed no insp. sticker from Manufacturer, then I remembered incident with the Pete, so I thought I would look up the reg. and of course I could not find it, that's why I asked.
Thanks Stantruckon Thanks this. -

Some times on a new trailer it is a sticker on the front or the driver side front of the trailer. It will say the next PM service is due and it will say when the last inspections was done on it and when the next one is due as well.

We had a brand new trailer, on its second week of service, inspected & written up by an Arkansas DOT for brakes being wore out, and put out of service. We called Little Rock, and told him the ticket number and officer name and we was told, "Don't worry about it, we'll take care of it and to throw the ticket away." We kept the ticket, but they null and voided it so at least no money owed on a false ticket.

One would think the bigger question would be whether the town drunk came before or after teaching FMCSR
