Youre out just trying to make a living in a world that is already hard enough and the dot man rummages through your stuff and fines you. That is unacceptable in my opinion. I could understand if you were operating the vehicle intoxicated. Thats a whole different story.

I been out here 9 years and haven't needed a gun yet, besides, the bad guy will have his gun pressed against my face before I know he's bad.

Most truckstops have a bar and grill nearby, you can go there, drink, talk to real people, have a great time, just have to know when to quit. So you're fresh and sober when you drive.

Im not trolling I just dont like the law banning me before I break the law. Its a law in front of a law. One guy screws up and we all pay the price. I can drink responsible off duty and still work the next day. I can handle a weapon responsibly without any problems. To be honest I am more proficient with weapons than probably 99% of the police force. Problem is man these laws are put in front of laws that could be broken. The law says if we ban this then this catastrophe will never happen. They ban stuff in front of what could happen.

Yes absolutely! I guess I am lucky they didnt go ahead and search my residence as well.
Loosing our freedoms in the country you fought for! (thank you btw), To many laws have been made just to prevent us from being able to break the law.
Anyone who has raised kids knows, if you don't allow them responsabilities they will not growup to be responsable people. IMHO adults are no different in that aspect.
Used to live next to a bar and parked my log truck in the bar parking lot. It was amazing to hear how many people had a problem with that truck being parked at a bar!

Your first mistake was letting him in your truck. You can tell any DOT or cop to go pound sand. They cannot search without a search warrant. They can't come in your truck unless you let them or they have probable cause of a crime....PERIOD!

I'm not sure but I thought there was no federal law regarding carrying firearms in a commercial vehicle, but each state had different laws about it, and of course company policy? Alcohol is a no-no

firearms are not banned, but since each state has their own law about a firearm in a vehicle, and not all states recognize permits from other states it is a nightmare to carry a LOADED weapon in a vehicle. Now companies can ban you from having a fire arm in their truck.
