what does it say on the print out, also look to see if it has a badge number because I would call around to the law enforcement agencies in that area to verify if that's an officer actually working for them or not and not an imposter

It just says : Charges filed by: Harmon 6z-004926 6 9 z. Nothing else showing identifying info. Never had a run in with law before so kinda clueless and court clerk no help, I will call around. Seriously, I have to show in person for this?

I got a ticket a few years ago in Tx.I was told to call to get amount of fine.Called next day and not turned in.Waited a few days called and no record. Was told sometimes the deputy doesn't turn them in on time.Called everyday the next week and still nothing.Called once a week for the next month with nothing.I've changed companies a few times since and not brought up by any of them.

No; go to the clerks office, bring your copy & pay the ticket. Whenever, the newbie gets around to turning in his copy of document...at that time, if you decide to ignore the ticket, whatever the fine had been will be higher.

keep it simple, know this many times throughout life you will find people whom dont focus themselves; Keep ur self focused.

You can also fight it.......you were on the street legally regardless of signage to make a delivery. You are exempt but you will have to prove it.

    Just saying

I would question the validity of the ticket if you travel to this customer frequently. Most laws state "No Thru Trucks". It is perfectly legal to deliver to the place. Just can't use the street as a short cut.
Is there another way to reach the customer? You may have to appear in court to have the judge throw out the ticket. Might be worth finding a lawyer to help. Maybe the neighbor's are trying to force the business out of the area.
Austin is really letting the "Yuppies" run rampant with their "Not in my backyard" mentality.
If they keep this up, you will have to deliver to this place on a bicycle.

cherishangel, drvrtech77 and Jerry12 Thank this.

Many local laws allow to be on a non-truck route for a local delivery. Not through, but delivery. You cannot control where the shippers and consignee's decide to put up there business.

PM me the city/road/address you deliver too and I will see if any current restrictions.

I guarantee if you choose to ignore / forget the ticket it will come back to a problem later.Get it settled asap, or you will regret it many years from now when it shows up somewhere, somehow on somebodies record keping system.THEN you have a major problem. These things do not just go away.
I would call the clerk's office again, find the head honcho, explain, then go from there.Call the police department as a last resort.
These folks suggesting you contest the ticket have a good point. I fight every ticket, and it has always helped me by doing so.
Document all your actions, who and when you spoke to, just under no circumstance should you forget about it.
