Hire Right

Altegrity, Hire Right's parent, is also the parent of Kroll and USIS. USIS did background checks and other investigative services for the U.S. Government.

USIS had four major failures in recent years: they are the company that vetted Eric Snowden and Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis; they had a massive data-breach last year that exposed personal data for tens of thousands of U.S. Government employees at Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection; and they are the subject of a whistleblower lawsuit that accused USIS of “dumping” unfinished employment screening files back into the government’s system, marked as completed, which has resulted in the involvement of the U.S. Department of Justice. As a result the U.S. Government did not renew USIS' contracts and the company is being wound down.

The financial fallout is affecting the two remaining businesses, Kroll and Hire Right.

 

I received one as well. Wouldn't it be a real shame if hire right outfit just fell off the face of the planet?

 

Be interesting to see if that happens.

 

Not that I have anything reportable that I'm aware of...but it sure would be a crying shame.

Though give it time. Someone will take its place; it's a marketable and wanted idea by companies that hire.

 

I hope Hire Right folds right along with them. I've never liked the idea of a company being able to black ball someone industry wide.

 

So that's what that is huh.I got 2 of them yesterday.I thought it was some scam.Thy're sending them to all creditors I guess according to the number I called.I'll have to look at this more closely.

 

I just recieved two envelopes about this today as well. Maybe dac is going down finally. Yippeee!!!
