Does anyone know whether a "County Wide Area Bus" run by the county government falls under any regulatory authority or are they exempt as County and State operated trucks are?
I was almost hit in a School Crossing Zone by a distracted bus operator. I contacted the Director of the County Bus service who said he would review the on-board video of my alledged infraction. The next day the Director called me back and left a message that said "he had reviewed the video and said he was 'astonished' by what he saw in the video" By the time the bus driver became aware I was in the PED XNG the bus came to a stop 6 feet beyond the cross walk painted markings.
The Director said that the Driver would be "retrained".
To conclude my personal 'investigation' into this incident I would like to view the section of the on board video which he found 'Astonishing'
Any advice as to whether or not I can FOIL this video?
The Director will no longer return my calls so I need to go
with something in writing.
