Ya, right... I'm supposed to believe YOU'VE NEVER broken a law???

And Since WHEN is a SIGN a LAW? It's at best, a rule... and we all know about rules!

I follow my own instinct and do the right things for the right reasons. I have my permits, training and understanding of the consequences of owning and brandishing a firearm. Protecting ME is why I carry. I would never even consider protecting property with it, especially cargo.

OK then, next time you come up to a stop sign just go ahead and run it. Tell the officer it is not a law. Only a rule at best. I would like to hear about the results of that conversation!:biggrin_2559: Now where was it that I said I have never broken the law?:biggrin_2559:

I was addressing two of your statements...
    1. You ragged on me about not being "a law abiding citizen" and I felt the nature of your rub was ridiculous.

    2. I was referring to SIGNS posted on company property forbidding guns. I said nothing about traffic signs...

So this was the part that you say I call you out on not being a law abiding citizen and you say (You ragged on me about not being "a law abiding citizen" and I felt the nature of your rub was ridiculous.) Well how did I ever come up with that? Maybe because I read what you typed.:biggrin_25523:

First of all, if you are a gun owner and haven't done so already, become a member of the NRA. Second, The VT tragedy made me realize one thing and one thing only......that death can present itself at any time and any place and you are never safe!
Think of this, if you happen to be a law abiding citizen with the LEGAL right to carry a firearm that day, could you have prevented the loss of life? Could you have saved 10, 25 or 30 loved ones that day? No one will ever know for sure but I know this, even if guns are outlawed to all but police and military, do you think that criminals will go "Well, can't carry this anymore....it's illegal." Get real. I think gun laws today are too restricted as it is. I have a conceal carry permit and I have more places I CAN'T carry my gun then places I can. I wish I could carry it 24/7 wherever I go but being the law abiding citizen I am, I leave it home more than I wish to comment. I have many friends that carry 24/7 everywhere. They follow the old saying, "I'd rather be tried by 12 then carried by 6."

I just want to be able to carry a stun gun. Still say watching some dummy trying to jack me squirm and twitch before the cops lock 'em up would funny. :biggrin_25525:

The FMCSA regs. don,t allow you to carry any guns permit or not its a felony if you get caught with it in your truck. We just discussed this in class two weeks ago. I have had a virginia CWP for about seven years never leave home without it.Like they say its better to be caught with it than without it be careful out there.

Here is the question of the day....

Has anyone ever been asked by a LEO if they have a firearm in their truck?
Better yet, has anyone ever been asked if they could search his/her truck?
