Last but not least, I have a Mother who is alive today, because she had a handgun. When two hoodlums, (both who had extensive criminal histories I might add) tried to get into her car with her one night at a mall, even busting the window out with a baseball bat and threatening her with a knife, she produced one of those worthless handguns you mentioned, and fired, wounding one, and the other didn't stick around to see if she would do it again. A musket wouldn't have been usable in the car sweetheart! She also didn't go shoot people at Virginia Tech.
All of that being said, I was a Police Officer for 17 years and after seeing those who legally defended themselves with a handgun when needed, and the results of those who thought they were worthless(like you) until being attacked and maimed or killed..... sorry, but I'll keep my worthless handgun. Try being a victim of violence once in your life and see just how worthless a handgun can be. Or better still, try watching some thug kill members of your family, because you think a handgun is only good for causing trouble. But that will never happen right? It's never happened to anyone, right? Use your brain. There are MILLIONS of handguns out there in the hands of responsible people, but you would have me give up mine, because some thug commits a crime. Let's see, most crimes occurr at night, so to reduce crime, there will be a nationwide curfew begining at 6PM. That way no one will commit a crime. People get drunk and drive a car and kill people. Maybe you should give up your car in case you decide to drink. You really don't "NEED" a car.... you can walk or ride your bike. By the way, as you said my Mother was on public domain, so I guess she didn't need one. Sheesh!!!7.3 cowboy, mcrich, SheepDog and 3 others Thank this. -

It certainly makes sense to have a way to defend yourself in this not so friendly world.

I'll go through my book later, but I am almost 100% certain that there IS a fed reg prohibiting a firearm in a Commercial Motor Vehicle. As a Licensed NC Concealed Carry permit holder, I would really like to keep my XD with me 24/7, but don't want to go to jail. Not to mention, a lot of chicken houses are putting in the xray machines to look in your truck as you pass through. The same that some of your larger ports use.

To stay on topic, 2xR thinks that unless there is a sound reason that makes a person ineligible to carry a firearm, they should be allowed to strap one on, and dare one of the savages to try and harm them, or their loved ones, or take their property.mcrich Thanks this. -
You said: Yes, I understand if your sleeping in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey of other communist countries like California or Massachusetts, you would be illegal.
Dear Ex-Cop.
I liked what you wrote until the end. You, being from Baton Rouge, are clueless and in fact and your post proves it... BTW, if you actually read the thread you would have discovered your post was pretty much redundant. -
If anyone can PROVE there is FEDERAL law prohibiting the carrying of a firearm in a truck, I'll PayPal you $1,000.00. I know I won't have to send it because this topic has been hashed and re-hashed on another, similar site and there is no FEDERAl laws. Any you know-it-alls familiar with the term, "States Rights"? The Constitution guarantees our right to bear arms. The states, however, regulate the law.
SheepDog, I am medicineman and w0lfy Thank this. -
