A positive drug screen result

I was wondering, I dropped a dirty drug screen for marijuana, and am trying to find out if my CDL is going to be suspended for this and for how long if so? I have only been driving for 6 months, and I know this does not look good for me. Any feedback on this subject would be most helpful. Thanks, and Happy Trucking.

Even if your CDL isn't suspended, you'll be lucky to find a trucking job again. You don't have any experience behind the wheel, and now no company will hire you with that recent positive.

Time to find a new line of work...

Bad time to smoke pot, man. This definitely isn't the line of work for drug users. Going to be about 3 years if ever on finding another job.

sorry to say but i have no pity for you. there is no room in the industry for drug users. i am glad you got busted as this will keep you off the road in a big rig and away from me and my family and maybe the roads are just a little bit safer. if you have a drug problem, get some help and move on. i don't know of one single company that will touch you with a recent conviction. best of luck to you.

I just wish they'd do alcohol tests the same way and keep those who HABITUALLY drink off the road. They're much worse, IMHO, than those who smoke the occasional joint. Drunks are a menace!!

Well I don't feel sorry for you, you knew the rules and now your busted. Thank God they do drug testing. You need a new profession because we sure don't want you here. It doesn't matter if you did it on your off time at home, the bottom line is there isn't any room for anyone that does drugs in trucking.

I find your comments disturbing. Especially since your avatar seems to promote the #1 drug problem in America.

You drink a beer while off for 2 weeks, this man smokes a joint. There is NO differance.

You are sober, as is he.

Right on!!!!!! I wish more people thought like that!!!!

Unfortunately, marijuana stays in your system for eons IN A DRUG TEST whereas alcohol does not. Both have well worn off and are giving no lasting effects by the time you do the drug test but the marijuana will show up and the alcohol will not. I wish it did.

NO DIFFERENCE! Last time i checked, drinking was legal as long as you are sober when you drive. A joint however isn't! That to me is a big difference!
