Is there any regulations that require me to have a passenger seat in my truck?
The one that is in there is basically just sitting on the base since someone sold the slider. Also there is n seat belts. So I am considering just taking it all out for now since I don't need it and there is other things that need my attention and money before a passenger seat.

But I don't know for sure. I could e-mail my boss and see if he knows the answer to this
I e-mailed will let you know if I get a for sure answer -
None that I've heard of. As often as you see a driver doing it there can't be a regulation on it.
But then again maybe its like the billy big riggers that ignore the steering wheel spinner laws. -
well I would like to make room for a fridge and coffee pot over there but that gets into a different uestion becaus I KNOW there is dot regs about anything in the cab being secured.
But for now I just like to know about the seat. You always see trucks that come with the cheap solid mount seat but I don't think I've seen a truck delivered with no seat -
I think you can get a "seat delete" option from new. Call your Pete dealer on monday and ask them. -
I've just been informed that many of the roadway and other ltl trucks don't have passenger seats in them

There would be no issue about removing the seat by dot regs, but whatever is placed there cannot block access to exit out of the door in an emergency. The only other thing would be if you are talking about a company driver. A company driver cannot modify their truck.
I wasn't thinking about emergency issues, so probably couldn't put anything there in replacement
