who will hire me now?

well, ive just been recently terminated from swift transportation. the reasons were for citations, log violations , and one preventable accident.
seatbelt in texas, parking on a on-ramp in virginia, obedienc to safety traffic corridor devices in pennsylvania(wich would have been speeding through a construction zone but the officer was understanding enough that i made a mistake.) exceeding maximum speed limit 69 mph downhill in california. dot inspection in new york state, cited for trailer with no visual inspection and for not showing my medical card (i showed the officer my medical benefits card.) he also wrote for log book wasnt current ,invalid placard showing, but was not cited for the offenses. and also am going to fight my next citation wich was 50 in a 45 on downgrade in california. the one preventable accident was for a chainlink fence that i accidently ran over with my trailer. but i definately made my share of bad decisions.and i do learn from all mistakes that i make. but if there is anyone out there who could give me some advice as to what i should do. or if you know an alright company out there that might hire me. i would surely appreciate it.

uhhhhhh.

im not really lookin twards changing careers especially after doing this for one year. and i wouldnt be trying to fight the last ticket if was going to change careers. so that is my last option. i would be better off dealing drugs than to go and quit driving trucks. why go backwards when ive already spent a year of my life doing something that has helped me stay away from giving up. i nkow that i screwed up but im pretty sure theres more options than to just give it all up. if anyone has any kind of help before i go into a hopless state.

Per a recent company handout regarding California enforcement. Officers are now to cite all speeders going 3 mph over the posted limit.

Good Luck

what's wrong with California? I've never been there and probably never will go there. doesn't sound to me like you have anything all that bad on your "record." most of it probably won't even show up on your MVR. not sure about you DAC. I'd just put in some apps at some different places and see what happens.

if your only moving violation is hitting a fence, that shouldn't be that big of a deal. as tight as a lot of these places are, what do they expect? just keep your head up, stay positive, and look around to see what else is out there. I would imagine that anything would be a move up after swift!

Ones gotta wonder if your post is for real or not. if it is swift has got to be hard up for help to tolerate a record like this. Thats quite a list for one year of driving. My personal opinion is that you have no business driving a big truck, i don't say that to be mean or rude. There's a lot more to trucking than just driving one down the highway. Bad luck? Maybe, but since you left a paper trail of your bad luck i don't know of any respectable trucking company's that would put you back behind the wheel. At 24 years old i don't think it's to late to change careers. Dealing drugs? Son, if you dealt drugs like you drove a big truck, i see a long prison career in your future. Good luck.

every other driver has done the same things (or worse) as Mr. falcon - they just didn't get caught.

No, you're wrong here, every driver has NOT done what he has.

I will be the first to admit, I received 13 moving violations in ONE year. Ahhh the good ole days

BUT! With one exception. I have never touched anything at a customers location by accident. Regardless of how tight it was.

The one exception... a p/u truck pulled in between me and the dock while I was blind siding. He wasn't there when I started, and he wasn't there at anytime I got out a checked my clearance. He rolled past me when I was getting in the truck (from checking). And instead of using the football size parking lot at the end of the building, he simply whipped in behind me.

My fault? Yes..I trusted a complete DA to do the right thing, rather than getting directly out again to insure he parked in a safe area.

Star Good Luck

It sounds to me that you had some bad training in the past or alot on your mind while driving or maybe your just not aware of things around you .

I'm sorry to say that I think you should find another career . Best of luck my friend .
