But the company you work for must say you can use them. If they don't you can always enter it into the computer and copy it onto their log sheets. More work but it does all the math work for you and even shows you when your 11 & 14 hour is up. It also shows you the option to split break when you have the proper breaks (so it tells you when your 11 & 14 is up after that second split break). So it's good

I think - I'd have to go back and look - that DDL has an 8X11 log sheet output. If they do, it might be cheaper to print out your own log sheets and fill them in that way, rather than spend (whatever) for pre-printed forms.

| Alot of the companies plainly require you to fill them out on their forms. There is no doubt that DDL is an advantage. I use it to check out my logs before I turn them in. I plainly just don't have the room for a printer in my truck. |

| Right - but in the case of the OP, the form itself is apparently not a problem - since he can use an 8X11 and the rest of the company uses the more common sizes. But yeah, that's a good reason to have DDL anyway. I'm in favor of using DDL to figure your logs, then transcribe them if you have to.

Just print them and put it in a 3 ring binder (fairly cheap). Oh you will need a 3 ring whole puncher. But all in all it's worth it Just make sure if you are submitting logs to a company to use their log format "if they have their own specific one" I can tell you "hopefully" if you send me a message of who you work for and the bar code "if there is one" on the log sheet (most are up on the top left hand corner). Like 0801 or 0810 something like that.

This might help you into getting them to allow it! I wouldn't accept it because I said my computer "scannable logs" would not accept it. Being dumb I guess and lazy (maybe??). Well I found out if the company gets # least 25 drivers to sign up with Drivers daily log they will have the companies log format on their website so when you print it will look just like their log sheet. Check it out, ours is listed because well we have well over 25. Our name is listed on the print module downloads. Celadon (shh don't tell anyone I work for them ok). Just push it! It does take someone from the company to do a few steps to post the log sheet and all that It's neater, less hos violations

| Quite simple matter to go to the DriversDailyLog website and print off the sample log and show it to your "Safety Dept". Drivers Daily Log also provides several versions of 'scanware' for drivers whose companies "scan" their logs.

Not a problem. My company accepts them. Some friends of mine, their company has not yet accepted them. They are in the process. I was just clarifying that not all of the companies will accept them. |
