Perhaps my answer wasn't directed at you, but more generic to those whose companies don't accept DDL (yet).

When someone quotes another person's comments, it is usually directed at that person.

that's where I was going. It seems obvious to me that the company in question will accept 'generic' log forms - so why not use something like DDL to print your own forms on demand? In the long run, the cost will be about the same - and who knows, maybe the OP's company will get smart and accept DDL logs. In such a case, he'd be ahead of the curve.

There are some pretty darn small laser printers out there, too. Take a look at the HP or Brother lines (I have problems with Lexmark and some of the others - can't take the abuse in my experience)

Off the top of my head, now that I think on it, for about $300, HP has a nice printer (not their smallest) that does two-sided printing. If you want an 8 X 11 log, you could print the Post Trip on the back...

Oh ok, my bad .

Hey be carefull to not tell DOT this bit of information. One of my drivers got written up for keeping 2 log books, even though the logs was exactly the same. I wouldn't think they would but guess they did
So just don't offer that bit of information to them officers out there, l.o.l.
Ouch hope I don't get in trouble for that

There is no restriction on this. The DDL is never current to my driving.

I have the paperless Werner thing now but if I ever switched companies (not planning too though) I would have a hell of a time with paper logs, that was one of the few classes in trucking school I really didn't like lol.
I f you can convert your daily / 2 week log off the Qualcomm onto paper like your trainer should have taught you, Then you know how to do paper logs. In fact, you may know more about doing Legal logs than other drivers, unless you spend hours on the phone with the LOG Dept fixing yours.
Also if the Omaha computer ever goes down again, its nice to be able to switch to paper and keep on trucking. Just update the log Dept later.
