Try sitting around for 5 hours waiting for the time to leave.

i run one, you dont have to sleep all 10...

if you stop for your 10, by the time you get your log straight, get some food, and watch a little TV/labtop, etc your going to be sleeping 8 or so hours

I run one. LOOSE LEAF is the way to go. If you buy books or your company gives you books, you can take the staples out and there you go. That way you can "customize" your trip.

Nope won't work. The guys that "designed" the split. Never worked a split in their lives. Tired drivers are dangerous drivers. All the rules in the world, will not negate that fact.

What if I need 4 and 7 --- or 4 and 6, then another 1 hr nap?

I'm illegal, most days, even if I have slept for 11 hours that day.

I rather like Australia's rules myself.

Without promoting anything here, when I was a rookie boss man called me in because I had told them I did not have enough ours to run the load. without opining my log book he said there's your problem, I said what?? he said you still have the staples lol..
