how long to keep logs?

    how long do i have to keep logs in my truck? is it 3 or 6 months back?

    I believe for whomevers authority you run under must keep them for 6 months

    15 days when you go to Canada.

    Your carrier is supposed to keep them on file for 6 months, you only need 8 days, or 15 if going into Canada, I keep mine for tax purposes and to verify experience, if needed in the future.

    ahh, i knew the DOT could look back over the last week but i thought i had to heep last 3 or 6 mo on hand. maybe that is for O/O?

    O/O are offered the same procedures as the companies. They receive notice and provide them at the office of their operation. There is never a need to carry more than 2 weeks.

    good deal then. i was cleaning out my truck earlier to make it easier when i swap trucks next week. i still had over a yrs worth of logs under the bunk LOL
