I'm sorry, I meant 41'. I'm glad to hear that about California, though. I only want to drive in the U.S.

You just swiped 1 of my lines.
Another thought, if you can't scale a load withing the bridge laws, don't run with it, or run it within the bridge law, the fine for not doing that is much more than a minor weight fine. -
It's always easier to move weight back than forward. I never allow loads over 20 tons forward of the 48' mark in the trailer. This gives me enough room to get the axles right. Roehl has their own way of doing things with letters on the side of the trailer that you match up with the rear axle based on the states you are going to travel through. For the rest of the world, I have always been taught that the 14th hole was pretty much as far back as you dare go. If you keep the load forward of the 48' mark and better yet the 45' mark you shouldn't have a problem. (There are always exceptions, however.)

One of our drivers just got a ticket stating that he was under on his minimum bridge law but i cant find anything about it. I have to assume thats a state law but i cant find any refrnece for it. Anyone know about minimum bridge laws? this was for michigan by the way.

I just got popped in CA for having the tandems at the 43' mark. Ran cross country and plum forgot about it.
So the ticket is written up as an over length violation. Is that a moving violation and/or pointable offense? -
I think it both but not sur. Cali is so weird on their laws they change them to get the most money out out of you.
Bridge law fer most 53' trailers is 6th fer Cali 9th fer Indian State Rds & I believe 13th fer Indiana Interstates and lll is Def 13th dependin on yer slider. But that shouldnt be too far off. Ifn ya count it from the VERY 1st hole even ifn you have a stop bar in you should be correctly legal.
