Have to disagree - the feds that issued it stated contrary to what you're saying here.

| I wonder if the regs have changed... as I *recall*, the sticker is only good for the quarter in which it was issued. I'm sitting in a driver's lounge,so my books are.. a long way away at the other end of the parking lot. And I, by definition, am lazy

paperwork... I got pulled in to the scale house on the I-10 east in AZ at the CA-AZ state line, they wanted to see my log book and permits...this was on friday night 9/19.

I don't know. I just ask them questions and they give me their replies. In this case, they told me it was an annual inspection and good for an entire year. I have found DOT to contradict itself on questions asked, but then again, these were the feds, I would like to hope they would know what they are talking about.

The CVSA sticker only shows the vehicle or trailer has passed an inspection and no "critical items" were found to be in violation. There is NO timeline as to when the truck can be reinspected. You can get a sticker one day and be inspected the next. The sticker will do two things 1) The carriers DOT safestat number will increase, which in return usually gets a lower insurance premium. 2) Lets other inspectors know the truck has recently passed and possibly move onto another truck.
