If you are referring to the above in lime green they are correct statements, maybe you are not seeing the "or" because a 10 will always reset. So you always have the option of the 10. If you don't take the 2 minimum you MUST take the 10.

I don't need quoted the regs trust me. Save the space of them quotes and just tell me where it made you feel I said it wrong/or it "reads" wrong so I know to correct it.

But I don't see where I was wrong
No not being conceided just don't see it still today (oh I am tired again today, doctor doctor
I'm not confused in the slightest, but the way your post is written...

Strictly speaking, the way you've written it is not quite correct. Looking at the portion I bolded; at the end of the extension a two-hour break is all that is required, not the 10. So the portion "or a 10 hr." is not necessary. The following sentence could be confusing because its subject of the two-hour break will re-start the 11/14 as it has followed the eight.

I am aware you are well versed in the regs, but many drivers, especially new ones, are not so clarity is paramount.

Sorry I couldn't figure out a color quickly so I just picked. I will stay away from the lime green. I think you all just had to many drinks and couldn't read it. l.o.l.

ok If I start my 14 hour at midnight and arrive at shipper # 1300 hours and shipper takes till 1800 to load me. I'm not in violation unless I drive after the 14 hour, correct??

If I start # midnight do 3hours on duty not driving like pretrip and loading then drive 11 hours arrive at receiver at 1400 then spend 1400 -2200 unloading then do into sleeper-- I'm notin violation??? I thought I couldn't work after 14 hour no matter what.

I don't split log off duty,too confusing.

If I start # midnight pretrip 15 minutes then drive 1215am-1115 am can I go off duty from 1115am-1315 then 1315-2115 sleeper??

for new drivers What I do is this- I start at midnight so I can drive to 11am then what i have off duty or on duty i add it. so at 11 am if i have 2 hours off duty and 1 hour on duty not driving then i can drive to the 14hour mark . If i start at midnight 1400 2pm would be the 14 hour mark.

You can work as many hours as you want past the 14 you just can't drive until you take your 10

Can anyone answer for me whether or not TMC allows split-breaking? Is this type of logging something that most companies frown upon? From my understanding, it would seem as if this technique can be very useful and allow a driver to be more efficient with his/her allotted driving hours if done correctly.
