Well I hope to finally pick up my truck this Tuesday and was wondering if I need to log the trip back to the yard. I will be bobtailing about 160 miles and it will be a few weeks till the truck goes into service. I have a log book that I used on a team run a few weeks ago. If I do have to log do I need to log the last 7 days before as off duty ? I drive a class b truck locally and don't use a log book. Thanks.

If it's compensated time you have to log it as well as log the time going to it if you're compensated for that . If you worked in the past 7 days the days you worked can't be logged as off duty . The hours you worked have to be shown as on duty hours . Get with your safety department on this .
