A 100 air mile driver has to draw a log, from memory, anytime he realizes he will not return to his work reporting location within 12 hours of starting. should he be assigned a run outside of the 100 air mile radius; you must prepare a regular RODS [log] for that day.

You do not need the 7 previous days with you as you were exempt! The DOT's guideance specifically answers that question [proof needed for the 7 days work] and the answer is: NONE

FLASH FORWARD TO 2014.... Anyone attempting to use this post will need to take a look at current regulations to ensure they are meeting the new changes.

    How have they changed?

If you operate under 100 miles, you are not under the fmcsa.

In addition, they are the same as they were in 2013.

You have to consider that the company CAN mandate tougher rules than the federal requirements and CAN require these to be noted.

This wasn't about the 100 air mile rules in specific, i just noted a few items that were posted from several years ago and wanted to insure people aren't using this post alone :biggrin_25519:

    Hope that clarified a little.

Kind of late since the laws changed long ago and your post leads them to believe that maybe something newer is around.

I'm sorry you took it that way. But if a new person came to this forum and just started reading from page one, they could be mislead if they weren't aware of how old these posts are. Some are dated 2009.

    Thanks for the welcome!

There are many other threads that deal with the NEW laws since it started.

Most of the drivers would not be coming to the section on 100 air mile rule.

    As far as a welcome?

You have been a member since March 2013.

Well since you have obviously been here since 2007 I imagine you are a little more adept at navigating this site. As you can see I am a new poster. I have 6 posts, and ALL of them today I might add. But apparently it is the date that counts. I would expect that an honorary supporter would be a little less agressive. Right now you are being rude. Thanks for your commanding point of view and I will insure I meet your exacting standards when posting next time. Have a great day!

How in the world am I being rude?

I checked and saw you had been a member since 2013 by your picture. I did not notice the number of posts until you pointed it out.

Sorry if I have offended you.

    One additional thought.

Many people post in the social threads and political areas. They do not receive any post counts, so, it is very hard to just assume that since your post count is low, that you may not be on the forum a great deal.
