CMV Web-Based Driving Tips
FMCSA just brought this site online for safety and awareness. Whether your a new driver or a old timer, refreshers to safety is key for everyone. There are short video clips to different scenarios. I'm not posting this to insult anyone's intelligence but to promote safety.

I think in this business you always learn something new, and should always go back remember whats it takes to stay in the busines safety is key.

I watched all the videos. Some real eye openers. I haven't started my driving yet. I have secured a job. Luckily I have experience with haz/mat in a straight truck, and a clean mvr, as well as no criminal history. I want to go into trucking with safety as the major aspect of every decision I make. Unfortuneatly, I worked for a company that only cared about speed. I know what I don't want.
Thanks for the access to the website. I truly appreciate learning good habits right off the bat.pinballwizard and rookietrucker Thank this. -

Some great stuff to help us remember what we are "supposed" to be doing out there. Hope you all remember these videos next time you are behind me in a construction zone.

Very good info, thanks for the post.
Do carriers place cameras into their trucks without the drivers knowledge...?
I would hate to be caught staring at the wrong type of "headlights" or wrist deep in a "pick at a light"
rookietrucker Thanks this. -
this was a eye opener for me, i sorta forgot the hazard of trucking , but when i went for my training with my brother last week at his work, i drove in town, a town called Davenport, Iowa, we went too the Purina plant there too load, the street was small, and everybody favorite cut thru too too hy-way 61 north and south, we line up sideways too dock, open the doors , then you have to go across the road sideways up to the fence on the other side to back into dock, i would see this as very dangerous for one person as he cannot see the other drivers coming from the right,. i plan too buy some orange cones and block off the street till i get back in or call the police in.i know i be going there lot's too.
