I'm just thinking that with a small cannon mounted on the hood..........those 4wheelers might not brake so often in front of me.

Ain't it funny that most states that are filled up with criminals and thugs, either don't reciprocate... or don't allow you to carry.

You have been very lucky for many years but as many people know, it only takes once.

Side note, I forgot to add... If it's against company policy, you can't have a gun in the truck, as I was corrected above

Keep the shiney side up!
I dont care what Illinois says...IT IS a FEDERAL LAW That allows you to transport your weapon with you..let me show you how ignorant it is....lets say I live in Indiana but want to move to Iowa your saying I can take all my possession EXCEPT my guns...If I live in Iowa and want to visit friends in Indiana I can take my guns with me too....
Telling me I cant take my firearm THRU a state that doesnt reciprocate with permits is just plain ridiculous.

We have NO SUCH COMPANY POLICY where I work...in fact they encourage us to take ours with us. Its nice to work for a small company with no corprate BS...megafleet BS..

I believe it is the same in New York as well.

Illinois law is that the firearm is to be unloaded during transport. There is no restriction on the transport from Indiana to Iowa in your example. The location of the ammo is something like not readily accessible.

Moving and carrying for protection are 2 different things...the Federal law allows you to "move" your weapons....not carry them.

And there was a guy that tried to use that federal law in NY one time...it DID NOT WORK. (by reason of "interpretation")

You know Roadmedic...its amazing how people will post about firearms that have absolutley no clue as to what the laws are governing them...they just post out rumors and junk they hear and think is the law...I would say that 99% of us who have registered our guns and are permited by home states have actually studied the law as to make sure we dont break it... Your permitted owners are your most law abiding citizens...We do not use our weapons in a criminal way... we are just exercising our 2nd amendment rights to bear arms and to protect our families...those that use gun in a criminal way did not purchase or register or get a permit to use them...They stole them....WHEN GUNS ARE OUTLAWED ONLY CRIMINALS WILL HAVE GUNS...seems like a bad day to me.

No doubt. Criminals do not care about laws anyway.

I agree...too many people spewing out what they think is the law.

Some of us may disagree on the meaning of the law...but at least we know what the law states even if we are not clear on its interpretation.

I do my best to keep up with the changes (I have to), but they get ahead of me sometimes.

South Carolina will recognize any states permit if that state has the same or more training to be issued a permit.

It is much easier to carry a large can of WASP/HORNET spray
