The above underlined can now be as simple as a cigar box or your center console. No locking up is necessary. It can be locked and loaded, it just cannot be out in the open. Before I had my Concealed I carried under my seat in a drawer. Cops knew I had it there because I told them (once when I had an audience of four of them... that's another story) Point is I was within the law. And it was well within reach.
Florida gun laws rock!
Hell yeah when did that come into effect, I moved to TN back in Feb.

"Backers, led by Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., say truckers and others with concealed weapons permits should be able to protect themselves when they cross into other states. Opponents say the measure would force states with strict procedures for getting permits to accept permits from states with more lax laws"

Hope this goes through and take the hassle out of travel.

The bill was favored by a vote of 58-39 but fell short by 2 votes to reach the needed 60 votes to become law.
Back to the drawing board.....perhaps with some language they could get it passed.

I fear the "new" congress we'll have soon. Don't hold your breath waiting.
