As I have said before, if you decide you want to carry a firearm, take the time to contact State/Local Law Enforcement to make sure you understand their laws. Don't be surprised if some LEO's are not familiar with the law. Heck here in Indiana we are granted a license to carry a handgun, concealed or open carry. The state has been silent on the issue of concealed carry or open carry and oftentimes you will be stopped by a LEO and told you must conceal the firearm or be in violation of the law!

Texas law stipulates you can and are encouraged to carry an hand gun for protection in any vehicle . It is legal in an commercial vehicle as long as you have an carry and conceal weapons permit. Oklahoma law stipulates the same.... I must believe that since newmexico, oklahoma, texas, arkansas, kansas , colorado are in agreement since all those states listed have an ccw pact. You might check with other states to find out.... I would suggest getting an email and printing it from said official on the final word . Carry said email on your person so when and if you are questioned by the dot in that state or said police official they can be presented by that fact and whom said so. You will also have the ranking officials numbers so it would be a waste of their time to buck the matter and possibly job suicide for the questioning officer. Cover your ### at all times. Personaqlly i varry every where i go and you would never know it. Just for my and my families protection.
Be cool on the stool and keep the shiny side up!!!!!!!!

If you want to know what's legal in the areas you're driving in, call the NRA, they'll know.

Tire thumper, that was about all I had in Iraq as well...A tire thumper and pma(cajones) will keep most trouble at bay. Of course my primary defense is the Lord.
He takes good care of me.
