And my permit is good in 13 other states. It's called reciprocity. Can I carry a loaded weapon in my truck everywhere? No. But I certainly can where I do 99% of my driving.. -
Thats why people get into trouble, It is a federal LAW however as long as U have a license to carry most states donnot enforce it. This same law is also the reason U have A cdl, it also contains a provision for states to lose federal funds for not enforcing helment laws,but ABATE takes better care of its members than OOIDA and other trucker represenatives!

I have asked OOIDA, hired a lawyer, asked the NRA, asked several DOT officers, etc...
There is no such law...never has been. Its a myth... -
The only place firearms are mentioned in the regs is one about having firearms and ammo IN THE TRAILER with hazmat.
And that is where the myth stems from. -
