Hi,I've read your posts and was wondering if anyone can help.I have had my CDL's for years.Last year I was diagnosed and had testing for sleep apnia.I have been on
a cpap for a year. When I went in for my renewal the doctor would not accept my print out or my letter from sleep doctor to verify my use if cpap.they would not renew my
license without another sleep test. It's now been 2 weeks and I'm really frustrated at the whole process and lack of communication of the doctors.I fell that I have been going
above and beyond.I live in PA and was wondering if this is going to be a usual occurance with the new mandates, and maybe how do I make sure this does not happen
again next year..I can't really find any answers or info regarding the whole process.thanks

Find a new Doctor. Sleep Apnea is not a required test and surely not required at every renewal.

It's not his job to overrule a specialist. A new sleep study is not going to accomplish anything but say you need a Cpap which you already have. He sounds like a quack. Like Tazz, find a new doctor. Preferably a walk in clinic. You can google "<your town> DOT physical" and find a walk in clinic. Be open and tell him the whole story.

All you have to prove is that you are compliant.

You can see on this medical report the guidelines. Page 3

I agree. The letters of compliance should be plenty. This is another example of profiteering in the interest of "safety". And it's BS.
