DOT to Let Fleets See Records Of Driver Applicants for 1st Time

    It is imperative that drivers become familiar with Part 382 and when the DOT requires a drug or alcohol tests. If a driver discovers their company is using federal forms for non-DOT drug tests they should notify the FMCSA of the violation at 1-888-DOT-SAFT.

    Drivers that test positive using Part 40 are positive regardless of the circumstances. Once the program goes into full affect I imagine the DOT will monitor the database for any positive drivers.

    DOT is also giving drivers free access to the information and has a process to appeal and correct any errors.
