    Yep. Not one answer in any of that.

    I get you do not like some of the laws. Frankly neither do I, however the only assurance I a free man from the Great State of Tennessee has that some billy blue balls big rigger from the suck of Kentucky is any where near safe is minimum Federal Standards enforced by the states.

    And I'm sure a check will really make it all better consoling the family of the deceased when Ol Blue Balls decides 6 proper brake chambers is good enough. Like I said stay in your state and you can abide your state laws. Cross a line and you become subject to Federal law. Same as if criminals cross state lines they fall under a broader jurisdiction, or airplanes, trains, buses all fall under federal regulation because of the territories involved in their operation.

    Nope not a one. See I understand that you do not own the road nor do I. I fully understand government does have a specific role in society. I fully understand that people incorrectly assume Rand's writings translate into them stealing use of that which does not belong to them. In fact if you would do your homework you would see that is the entire point of the philosophy to oppose looters stealing use of what does not belong to them.

    I asked you a simple question and you supplied an insufficient answer. Since my state can not mandate how you conduct yourself in Iowa, and Iowa better #### well never tell me how to act in Tennessee(1) the Federal Government sets minimum standards for an industry that crosses several state lines making individual states incapable of regulating use prior to one entering their roads.

    As I said if you only wish to follow the laws of you State(which by the way mirror the FMCSR's except for some weight variances for ag as far as I know) feel free to stay in your state.












    (1) Now yes since Jackson and specifically the Missouri compromise there have been numerous transgressions of the Tenth ammendment. However those are for a different discussion.

    In the industry that operates in several states and territories yes.

    I am referencing things like Dept of education, the entire DARE program, National Guard(Should be the State Guard), the DEA, USDA food stamp program.......

    Like I said for a different discussion.

    Wrong, All amendments to any law, contract, or constitution change and supersede the original writing. That, is why they are called "amendments".

    You are wrong sir. The amendments themselves cannot change, unless by a ratification process. The bill of rights have been the same for the last 200+ years.

    Also, your post is off topic from what I stated. The 10th amendment gives powers to the states that aren't bonded to the federal government by the constitution. However, the commerse clause can be used to override this restriction to regulate commerse.
