Bridge restrictions and fines

On Rt.95 in Pawtucket Rhode Island,there is a bridge restriction of 18,000 lbs and 2 axles.The fine is $3000,and they seem to bag someone every day even though it's posted well in advance with huge signs every where.
I drive regional,and haven't seen anything close to the fines posted. I get the fact that they really, really, don't want you on the bridge.
My question is does anyone else know of such a steep fine,or maybe higher relating to bridges ? Thanks for your response.
