I may be looking at a move real soon as San Diego is not the place to be for trucking. I have the offer of a room in my brother's house in Dallas while I job search. Of course I would have to switch my CDL to TX (no problem with that!) Other than there, what other places would be good to consider? thanks!

Dallas is actually a good place to be at the moment. The Texas economy is still in decent shape.

Along the major corridors, in the midwest. Why, you ask? Because freight moves along I-40, I-35, I-80. In Dallas or Okie City for instance, you can haul freight going in 4 directions. Laredo, Tx. is a huge transfer point. Just be near a major interstate.

Cross roads of America N.W. Indiana/Chicago. Most all carriers have this as a Hiring Area.

    I live 4 miles South of I-40. I live near the intersection of I 24-40-and 65.

BTW if you are really desperate for work Western Express in hiring.

Daygo is the last stop on the trucking map. Phoenix would be a good move.

Look at cities at the intersections of the main freight corridors; Dallas, Atlanta, KC, OK City, Omaha, Indy, Memphis etc.
