We are not having a problem getting paid. The problem is that the new ops manager is only dispatching is buddies and company trucks on the higher paying loads and running them around me and my bosses trucks. But it is not just us he is running around, he is doing it to everyone except a couple of o/o groups and the company trucks. Other than that, we are okay. Not much money though, that is for sure. Everytime a well comes in that pays well, I am sent on a long dead head and left out doing very low paying loads. It just sucks, ever since this fool came in, it has been lies and half truths. The really sad part, it appears the guy who owns the company is really clueless on what is going on. On another note, my boss will not pull for flex frac EVER. He is talking to some company called Blackburns or something like that.

Sand hauling has slowed down since thanksgiving of last year and has not picked up. It slowed down so much, my company laid off several drivers and many more quit. Couple of drivers that are still there, are starving because it is so slow.

This article I posted was from a few days ago and might explain some of what is happening. Mild winter and storage nearing capacity, means a glut and lower prices in natural gas. Drilling will continue but the fracking process will continue to slow down.

Abundant Natural Gas Means Low Prices

well I am living proof, I am still sitting at home waiting for a dispatch. As of about three hours ago, I was second on the list, but I just found out that they dispatched two more in front of both me and the guy that is first on the list. If they keep dispatching around drivers, I suspect, when it does pick up again, this company is going to be very short of trucks because everyone is looking to move from here.

I just want to inform my truck drivers colleague, to please, please be careful with Quicksand Services in Fort Worth, TX. This company is a Frac Sand Hauler, they promise Owner Operators a $5,000 dollars sign-on Bonus, and that they are the pioneer in the frac sand transportation industry....What a Big Lie! From the company owner to the general manager All of them are dishonest, and heartless. They don't care what sacrifies all of this Owner Operator makes to buy a blower, to get a trailer and many, many other sacrifies just to start in this buissiness. They are forcing new Owner Operators to get in to Quick Sand Service Authority, so that way they can change the prices on the loads and the miles, and charge on many different things without disclosing upcoming charges to the new Owner Operator. On top of that the dispatch personnel is like a joke, they lie, they don't take their job professionally.
I just finish talking to the wife of a Owner Operator who got Terminated last Thursday, just because he called dispatch to notified them that he was getting loaded in South Texas and it was taking more than 14 hours. The poor Owner Operator was just doing his job, communicating dispatch on what was going on, and dispatch got upset and blame the Owner Operator of not putting pressure on the well personnel. Is dispatch responsible to call the customer and ask if there is any technical issued or what is causig that major delayed? The Owner Operator wife went to the office and talked to Quick Sand General Manager, and he pulled out a long record allegating that there were toooomany incidents and accusing the Owner Operator of many things. When the wife asked him if there where a way to clarify all of those incidents and see if those belong to her husband, the manager called a guy name Scott who is the Safety Coordinator Manager and Scott clarify that those incidents did not belong to her husband. But, the manager still Terminated her husband, allegaing that they cannot loose everything they have for one person....I do not understand his reason, and she either.

People complaints everyday of not receiving their weekly settlement on time. They lie about everything...Feel Sorry for their recruiter..I don't know how she is able to go to sleep everyday!!!! WHY DO YOU STILL HIRE WHEN YOU KNOW YOUR COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH LOADS, AND ALMOST ALL OF YOUR TRUCKS ARE SITTING FOR DAYS...STOP HIRING AND PLAYING WITH ALL THOSE OWNER OPERATOR ILLUSIONS AND HARD WORK.

Anybody know of any companies looking to lease a fleet of 7 water hauling trucks? anywhere in Texas, we've been leasing trucks in the Odessa/Midland area for over a year and a half now, just got 7 more looking to put to work, all trucks with drivers included. Thanks!
