All Freight Systems boosts owner-operator pay

Iam not affiliated with this company, just passing on info.

All Freight Systems boosts owner-operator pay
October 12, 2006

Quote:
All Freight Systems Inc., a truckload carrier based in Kansas City, Kan., has announced a pay raise for owner-operators effective Oct. 20.

The new rate will be $1.00 per mile, a 9-cent increase over the previous rate, and will be paid on all miles, loaded and empty. This includes a 100 percent fuel surcharge.

All Freight Systems also recently raised its rates to customers, so drivers on the percentage pay plan have received a significant increase, as well.

Darrin Karley, vice president of the company, said the increase did not involve “re-distributing” funds from other parts of their owner-operator pay package. That package includes paid base plates, permits and bobtail insurance and reimbursement for tolls encountered on company routes.

Double that and I might think about it.

C.R.England is going to be paying OwnerOperators up to $1.50 per mile.

Re: All Freight Systems boosts owner-operator pay

$1 a mile isn't bad considering what else is out there. To run power only and not have to pay cargo insurance it's about the same as $2 a mile on your own.

I know others out there going it on their own, and trying to squeeze $1.50 a mile as an o/o is getting tough. One reason why I'm staying leased on for the time being.

If you know of someone paying 2 bucks a mile for a lease, I'd like to know who it is!

Yea that is bad, bad, bad, haul for them and go broke. A backhaul to a good load is all I would take a 1.00 for. Need 1.50 at least to make it worthwhile.

Re: All Freight Systems boosts owner-operator pay

Checked out their web site the other day. They have great hometime and vacation time. Need 2 years OTR experiance. 7 days out...48 hrs. off. 9 days out...72 hrs. off. Teams out for a min. of 15 consecutive days...96 hrs. off. 4 weeks PAID vacation after 1st and 2nd year. 6 weeks PAID vacation after 3rd year of service. Not too shabby.
