Is your company 100% o/o and l/o?
Also, do you only do heavy haul?
Thanks!

How do you respond to the negatives on this forum about the lack of loads and excessive layover times? I have stopped in your Missoula office and talked with the staff there - I was interested (I'm based 60 Mi N of your Fontana Terminal) but was concerned about sufficient home time and still earning a decent living.

The negatives were posted a couple years ago. Things have changed economically business has been picking up. More loads less time waiting better rates.
As to your question of sufficient home time and still making a living. My people stay out for a few weeks at a time and run most of the country. If you are looking for a regional or western 11, we would not be the carrier for you.
There is no one company that is right for everyone. The same way when you read posts about us one person says they were not happy here and another says they are happy here.
Give us a call and ask your questions, talk to our contractors as well. You said you have been here so you know that we will give it to you straight.
Maybe we are the right fit for you maybe not but we will do what ever we can to make sure you know before you make a decision.

i am interested in your lease operator program, i have been burned by two other L/o programs so i am reluctant to do another one, but im not completly ruling it out...for the right company. How does your "no set payment plan" realy work. I would like for you to elaborate a little on this for me please. I also live 100 miles west of Houston tx, i am guessing this is a good location to get me home and also get me out.

Houston area works.
Our lease plan is designed for you to get a title.
Same contract as everyone else signing on, 75% of 100 plus 100% of the fuel surcharge, stops, tarp, etc.
Of the money going to you and the truck 26% goes to the contractor and 74% goes to the truck along with the fsc.
The money that goes to the truck covers all the expenses, fuel, maintenance, plates, permits bobtail ins, Occupational Accident Insurance, trailer rent, fuel tax and anything else related to running the truck. The only things it does not cover is a cell phone and chrome. At the end of the month subtract all the trucks expenses from the 74% and fuel surcharge and what is left over is what you made for a payment.
It guarantees that you get your 26% for you so there are no negative paychecks for you.
It is a walk away lease so you can give the truck back if you need or you can buy out the truck for the balance and take it with you.
You choose your loads and where you run.
We looking at having 19 plus people pay off their trucks this year, that is three years in a row for around 30% for a fleet of 60 trucks.
If you call us we can go into more detail but this is the program in a nut shell.

Just bought 5 2008 Kenworth t660's for the lease purchase program and have been told we are expected to do 40% more loads by our largest customer after they gave us a rate increase. 2011 lookin like it may be a good year.
