Re: flatbedding

System runs the midwest, but I don't beleive they have any terminals there. Tandem has a good rep. The area around the south end of Chicago is a hot bed of flatbedding, due to the amount of steel that moves there. Much of it runs east or up towards Detroit

Falcon, Burnham Trucking Co, Steel Transport, and a bunch of others are in the area.

Be sure to check the SafeStat ratings for companies as well. Sometimes you can see some serious trends. [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.

I'm looking into flatbeds out of northern Indiana as well, but I also want to find a good, safe company to work for.
