Some people are smart enough to look in the guns revolver chambers before they pull the trigger.

If you need a peice of paper to tell you when your too sleepy to drive, then maybe it's a good thing for YOU to have one.

The goal for us is not to play roulette at all but Because we are a small carrier we gave third and fourth chances to drivers. But Now we are trying to grow and have plenty of freight but lack the quality of drivers. That's why we are reaching out and trying to change that lousy record :biggrin_255:

It's very VERY rare that I go down the road with a log book at least doesn't look legal, and put's me at that particular place at that particular time..

But the DOT in some states, now have the technology to check your fuel card to see your last several days of fuel stops...So to counter that, you have to pay cash for your fuel and get a reciept that doesn't have a time stamp on it... Company drivers and some o/o's don't carry that much cash. And in some cases, don't any discounts (other than cash price) when they dish out their cash....

BTW, do you OVER charge your O/O's for insurance? I've had a couple that made me pay up to $150 per week for insurance. After I found out that I was paying for their cargo and other insurance, (insurance that the O/O wasn't responsible for) I was told to either pay it, or find another job..

No, we try to be completely transparent with our cost and income with our drivers. We pay for are insurance and any other cost that the O/O should not be responsible for.

I know some companies try and nickle and dime their o/o but the happier they are the happier our customers are and the more successful we are.
