I heard that if you have an animinal in the truck That the no idle does not apply i heard it is crulety to animals if you do shut the truck off so i guess having an animal has more advantages than just companys, stress reliver and company.

My company hartt trans out of maine and sumter,s.c.,allows pets also. I was thinking the other day about this, it costs a company thousands of dollars a year to let you do this, think about all the extra fuel it costs, you need to keep them cool and warm while you are in the truckstop or anywhere 24 hrs a day everyday you are out. These companies to me have to be better to go to work for, they know it costs more, you stop more, but yet they are allowing you and your beloved pet to be together. I don't think it's all about hiring more drivers though, maybe they figure if you have a pet,you will take the time to do a better job, keep the truck cleaner and you must be a caring compastionat person, and thats what helps make a better driver when you come right down to it. I would consider one of these companies, even if I didn't have a pet,at least you know they care a little bit more and knows you would be happier there.

Watkins & Shepard allow pets after probation and with deposit.

They also have a training program too.
