Need A Good Company For South-East Regional Or Dedicated Out Of Atlanta Or Nashville
I have had my belongings in storage and living OTR in my truck since late Feb 2009 (3+ years) running all 48, only stopping to get mail once every 2 or 3 months for a day or two and then out again. I am now thinking about coming off the road later this year. I need to find a good company that I could run regional or maybe dedicated... I don't think I would do well stuck on local Atlanta stuff (where I will be moving to, or metro anyway)... due to a broke elbow a few years ago I really would prefer to find an auto-shift. I can run manual and have done so for about half the time I've been driving. I would of course also prefer an APU/power-pack, good pay and need to be home at least 2 full days a week/weekends... I couldn't imagine being home daily and off on weekends but that would be more than welcome. Any suggestions on companies around the Atlanta or Macon area (would also consider Nashville)? I have a clean record. Thanks for your time drivers!

Id say take a look at Averitt. They have a large hub near lithia springs and they run local and I believe regional around the area. They have drop yards all over the place too. Many of thier trucks are newer and have APUs on them and im pretty sure they run automatics. The down side is they have uniforms lol but if you like red shirts i guess its not too bad. Considered them myself but Im ok with where I am currently.

Wow... didn't think anyone was going to reply. I don't mind uniforms too much... saves me money on work clothes anyway
I wish they had more specific pay info on their website and it would be nice to be able to get with a company that ran west too so I could go back to revisit some places but I will keep them in mind for sure, thanks!

They have a few (about 30). Most are standard 10 overs. Those are the volvo I shifts.
