good luck to everyone

Good luck to everyone. I passed my cdl test today and ill be calling roehl tomorrow to set my orientation date. I have already been accepted for them and had my physical done already.Ill be giving myjob a two week notice once i have a date secured with roehl. I have heard so many great things about roehl and i am excited about working with them. To the guy who applied online with roehl and is waiting for reply dont sit around and wait. get there phone number and give them a call. Have your resume handy so you could fax it to them. most of all be honest about your work history and driving record and everything. if you lieand they find out they most likely wont hire you. Best of luck.

Well, the first day was pretty easy. We started with a driving and backing test. My instructor was very complimentary to me. Then we watched some safety videos and did a little paperwork. We will do all our payroll and benefits paperwork tomorrow. I'll keep you posted!

Day two: more of the same. We have been going over logging and trip planning this morning. After lunch, we are finishing up our paperwork for payroll and benefits. Looks like we will be done by 3 each day of orientation. I really like the people around here at the Ellenwood facility. This is going to be a GREAT choice of company to work for from what I have seen and heard from the drivers around here that I have talked to.

Last day of orientation is tomorrow. I'll wrap up with another post tomorrow afternoon.

Day three: Guys are already leaving this AM with their trainers. Our 3.5 days of orientation is more like 2-2.5 days, which is cool. I am going home until Tuesday when I meet up with my trainer. I am slated for SE Regional, but I am training with a flatbedder. They said that is not a problem, but if I do any tarping, I expect to get tarp pay!! I am heading home in a little bit until I meet with the trainer. I REALLY like this company so far.
