Rookie wants to know what a DAC is?

Is there anywhere that a rookie can get the acronyms for trucker talk like DAC, what is a lumper, terms that aren't plainly explanatory by the word?

Not that I am aware of. Just ask your questions here and there should always be someone able to help. Like *lumper* refers to a person that works at a warehouse, but not an employee of the warehouse that will either load or unload your trailer. You pay that *lumper* his fee, and hope to get reimbursed from your employer later. DAC is from what I know, a reporting agency of sorts that holds information about you that other employers send to them. They need to be a memeber though in order to obtain a DAC report on you, or to send information about you. Hope some of this helps you out.
