| CFI Training? I read on a message board that CFI training was only 1,500? Is there any truth to this? I couldn't find anything about it on their website. |

| well hold on there buddy, you do need to at least have your permit. but they will put you through their cdl training course. they will teach you everything. and they test you. not the dmv. and get this...you will even have a job too. you will go through their course during the day, but you will work the dock part time at night as well. there is no commitment either. you can get your cdl, quit and go somewhere else...which i think is wrong. anyways, i think it's a great place to start. con-way is, i think, the only LTL company that hires fresh rookies. other LTL companies require at least 2 years exp. so the best thing you can do is go apply at your nearest con-way facility. if they have an opening, they will let you in. now since con-way bought out cfi, that does not mean you can train with con-way and then move over to cfi. con- way may own cfi but still, they are two different companies. |
