OK, it's getting pretty close now. I'm in the process of tying up loose ends and getting ready to hit the road again.

Here is basically what i'm looking for in a company in order of importance. While the list may seem extensive and/or demanding please keep in mind that i do not care about hometime whatsover right now. Also i do not care(i even thrive upon) NYC, Northeast and Canada. So, those two elements should make my search easier.

What i'm looking for, in order of importance:

1)ANYTHING but freightliner and volvo. Preference would be KW, W-900, T-800 or T-600. Pete 379,8, or 378. Any international. Mack is ok. Also, the truck should be able to do at least 70-71mph. The exception to this requirment is that freightliner IS acceptable if it has the new rack-and-pinion steering.

    2) MILES. As i stated, i do not mind NYC, NOrtheast of canada. Preferred area would be southeast, but i can and will run anywhere.

    3) Good shipper/recievers. I define good shippers/recievers as those who can get you loaded or unloaded within two hours of arriving there OR within two hours of your appointment time. And no BS---lumper games and the like. Also, i define a good shippper/reciever as having clean facilities and large parking areas.

3a) Delivery/pickup times between the hours of 6am and 2am. So that's basically a 20 hour window which i feel is pretty reasonable. I do not want to pickup or deliver between the hours of 2am and 6am.

    Minor stuff:
    No qualcomm
    No uniforms
Would prefer van but will possibly consider other types
    APU units helpful or OPTI-Idle

    I do not mind:
    1) Not getting home; I do not care about getting home right now.

    2) Taking shytty runs; I do not mind taking short, 200-300 mile runs going to bad places every now and then.

    3) I do not mind being "asked to do favors," getting repowered because someone has to go home due to an emergency, getting put on the family dollar dedicated account "just temporarily because we need help" etc.

    4) Unloading. As long as most of my above requirements are met.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Ah,....... what?:biggrin_2554:

Maybe you should take applications from the hundreds of companys out there and hire the one who meets your qualifications. (sarcasim of course)

I suggest doing some research as I am and have been doing to see who fits what I am looking for and how they rank with how other drivers feel about a particular company. (now thats a long winded sentence)

If all else fails, you could always become an OO and make your own set of rules.
